The Obvious Errors Of A Rookie Politician Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Obvious Errors Of A Rookie Politician

The mistakes of a rookie politician can be fatal and foolish
The errors of a new politician can be cynical and astonished
A Monday morning quarterback is, at times, a sad thing
Talk is indeed cheap. Supposition is not as interesting
As, it is hard to find a solution to a major problem
An individual who thinks he or she knows everything
Will never learn, such a twit knows nothing
It is impossible for a narcissist or a sleek scum
To be too knowledgeable. Mr. or Mrs. Know-it-all
Is an impediment, when dealing with real lives
Of special brave young brothers and sisters who walk tall
To defend honor and country. He or she who survives
A war is blessed and lucky. War means imminent death
This is a catastrophe that a true statesperson must
Avoid at any cost. It is too premature to send to dust
So many innocent young people. There's not a dearth
Of evidence of what I am talking about. War is hell
Peace must be the final goal, as we ring a new bell.
