The Old Lady's Home Poem by RAJ NANDY

The Old Lady's Home

Rating: 4.5

'My son is a very big Officer you know,
He resides in a spacious company flat,
He is far too busy and pre-occupied,
With no time to sit and chat!
That is why I stay with you all,
In this Old Ladie's Home you see,
But he always foots the bill,
And this you all agree.

My son is a very big Officer,
He lives in a palatial flat;
With a pedigreed Alsatian dog,
And the chauffeur of his car is fat!
They also have a full-time servant, -
To take care of all that!

My son is a very big Officer,
He lives in a prestigious flat;
Alas, there is no place for my furniture,
They are too out-dated for that flat!
That is why I keep them here,
For they are all that I own,
They are all mine and mine alone!

My son is a very big Officer,
And stays in a luxurious flat;
With his wife, the dog and servant,
There is just adequate space at that!
That is why my friends, I call this place
my own, -
Your company is all that I have,
To call my very own!
