The Old Routine Poem by David Harris

The Old Routine

Woke up this morning,
my holiday gone to oblivion
right before my eyes.
Work held out its open arms
ready for my return.
It eagerly waited for me
to embrace it with all my might.
Sadly I did not feel incline t
o readily dance to its tune.
I just started slowly
and got back into the old routine.
