The Overcoat Poem by Antonio Liao

The Overcoat

if the night touches the ground
without seeing the sun
then the horizon glows fire that thunder
the moon

if the ocean roar with kaleidoscopic sound
then the fish be captured the night with
empty net

if the humming birds surf the wind, then
the raising of the sun
would only meant to settle down the night that
comes

where my heart calls, there my love rest,
neither the mind quest
the immortality of
my soul nor the destiny that I wait dictates me
to where I will go

...lead me to Rest LORD
