The Pain Poem by Gary James Smith

The Pain

Rating: 5.0

The Pain

The pain of a death of a loved one
Is a heavy burden to bear
It's only by the grace of God
That we can meet the trial found there
All of ourexpectations gone.
An unbelievable feeling for sure
Then the accumulation of thoughts
As the compounded agony is endured

Thank you Lord for a Father
Who covers us in His love
Who stays beside us comforting us
As only He can from above
And within the Holy Spirit
Keeping us in our peace
Praise God for His administration
To give our grief release

This is the deepest pain
That can be felt by men
To lose a loved one at an early age
The question mark's never end
What about this.. what about that
The what if memories unravelling
Can put our minds in a tailspin
As we await grace's healing offering

O the joy of a soul that's saved
With their destination finalized
We know that when their body lies dormant
They've already left for on High
The Uppertaker has sent His Angel's
To call another one home
And while here...we stand around grieving
They are kneeling at His Throne!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
