The Pain Of Missing You Poem by Curry Bascue

The Pain Of Missing You

I need to tell you something.
I miss you.
I remember days of happiness,
Where a day could be good or bad,
But would always get better when I saw your face.
I was right though.
The blue sky has bore you away from me,
Leaving me in the aftermath wondering why I am here now.
Alone without you.
I yearn to hold you in my arms…
To hear your laugh…
To see your smile!
Dear god how I covet that blue sky so.
I see your face in memories and pictures from before,
Yet the void isn’t close to closed yet.
The void is still reaching,
And spreading past the boundaries I hope to set for it.
You filled my mind with hopes that I would see you again….
Why would you deceive me?
You know…
You mean so much to me…
But I’m still here,
Never changing,
Yet still I wake up every morning with a deep envy toward that summer sky.
You say you can’t see me,
The time isn’t right,
Even though you’re going to be in pain,
And I won’t be there to hold you.
I hope you’re strong with or without me.
Just know,
I still miss you.
