The Past Poem by james watkin

The Past

Rating: 5.0

A pleasanter air he had about him
A rosier outlook The Past.
Like he was always a triumph coming off;
A cherry-topped repast.

Reverential wreaths are daily convened
And prolific calls to mind.
Additional dirge, for the death-in-life heir
In no aggreeable way aligned.

A cherry-topped repast.... In no aggreeable way aligned. Lovely expressions, especially in the context.
