The Perfect Lover Poem by Midnight Clarity

The Perfect Lover

I am just a voice
a trammelled electronic
moment
in your life
mere text on page
it's all you want of me;
I can please you best
by being non-existent,
devoid of flesh
of feeling
an instant to encounter
then erase
forgetting all the details...
amorphous, pushbutton there
but only on demand;
dissolving without needs or wants
always there, not real,
not part of, unless
until you want me so.
Then, I am a moment
a voice
some text,
tap a button
conjure me
and then goodbye.
