'The Person Who Is Me' - Poem by KITTEN LANKFORD

I hope this day wil make
me stronger not weaker.
I only hope to show you that
you can't do what you have done
to me.
I pray that you will learn to
treat me with love, respect,
not treat me as if I were a
floormat to wipe your guilty
conscience on.
You need to learn a little
respect for yourself,
then you will have that
for others.
I wish you well in life
and praythat you get better.
May you find peace of mind so
that you will find what it takes
to fullfill life with another.
May I find the person.
That is me, and look in a mirror,
and like the reflection that
looks back at me.
God I pray that I will like that person
who is me.
