The Priding Bones Reaching Clouds Poem by Luo Zhihai

The Priding Bones Reaching Clouds

傲骨凌云

山种闲霞邀凤住
月眠野庙待僧归
清贫不忘凌云志
冰雪久磨傲骨梅

The Priding Bones Reaching Clouds

The moon slept in the wild temple
waited for the monk returned
Invited the phoenixes to live
the mountain planted the leisure rosy clouds

The ice and snow long polished
the priding bones of plum blossoms
Being poor didn't forget
the aspiration reaching clouds
