The Proof Is In The Putting

The proof is in the putting
In the putting on no less
Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ
And make no provision for the flesh
Love not the world nor the things therein
But enjoy the love of God
Walking in victory over sin
While on His earth you trod

Learn to love the Lord thy God
With all thy heart and soul and mind
And when you find yourself falling in weakness
In Christ sure strength you'll find
Put ye on your armor of faith
To face the battle's fray
Using the Word of God as your sword
To help you get through each day

Put on hope as your future
For we have Someone to look forward to
Rejoicing in the finished work of Christ
That Calvary had led us too
Where we'll take a vacation from death
Never to return again
For we've learned to put on the Lord Jesus Christ
Hallelujah for that putting on! ! !

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
