You have become
the warm comforter
who covers me from my
neck down to my feet.
There was no set pattern,
no set vision.
Now, the outline of my life
includes you!
Your presence
is printed on my mind
and my sight,
my heart and my very soul.
I can't change it~
I don't even want too.
I couldn't even if I tried!
So, I pray we never unravel...
the quilt my mind, heart
and soul has absentmindedly
yet willingly weaved together.
I'm so thankful for your warm quilt of love!
I love the title of this poem Shelley, it suits it very well. To be covered by the one you love, seems absolutely right since we are covered by the love of Jesus. Followint in his footsteps can only lead to true haplpiness. I'm so happy you're sharing your wonderful poetry. A work of excellence, a big (10) from me.--Melvina--
Nothing like a lovely warm quilt to keep you warm in our Canadian winters! : -) Hugs, Dee

This is so natural and charming. It flows wonderfully, and though the lightest of your poems I've read so far, has a deeper personal touch which is hard to ignore. S x
