The Restraint Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Restraint

Rating: 3.0

How much can one tolerate?
Confine within and relate
There is no way to feel at an ease
The anger and rage is not allowing peace

What can one choose?
And suitable react or pose
Is it possible to retaliate and avenge a insult?
Or feel so much of contentment with result

The rage and anger adds fuel to fire
No one takes side and admire
Rage gives birth to notorious action
It may result sometimes into hostile reaction

Bloodshed is real possibility
Loss of lives is real eventuality
Under such circumstances only one options is open
The person should be really forgiven

This shall extinguish internal hostility
Bring about peace and clarity
That love only and not hate may work
The restraint and careful use of words may improve
