The Resurrection
The Resurrection sticks like glue
It's forever on my mind
Jesus came back from the dead
The only one of His kind
To the death He carried my sin
He bore it all for me
And granted forgiveness by His grace
When I trusted in Him completely
The Word exposed my filthy rags
And all of its unrighteousness
Showed the pureness of my Lord
And His life of sinlessness
My heart was smitten with that truth
What love...what wonderous love!
He endured the pain of Calvary
So that I might live above
O there's power in the blood
That Innocence once shed
Once forsaken by so many
But now our living Head
Death did its dastardly deed
Then it slithered away
Satan thought his task was done
But Christ became our Stay!
The celebration still exists
Lord Jesus lives today!
He rules and reigns in glory
I'll see His face one day
He did life in glorious fashion
Praise God for His Selection
Everyday I praise that name
Who's my Life and Resurrection!
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
