The Risk - Poem by Kimar Young

We took the risk
we gambled it all
never considered
how far we might fall

Our empire had been
the haven that wouldn't fall
but with one gust of wind
we lost it all

Now it lays in ruins
alight with flames
and all we do
is shift the blame

Our nation disgraced
our haven destroyed
because with the all-seeing
fate we had toyed
