The River Poem by Phillip Alan Green

The River

Rating: 4.5

Down the mountain side,
The river runs its' course,
Towards the beckoning sea,
It leaves its very source.

A long thin strand of water,
Reflections in the sun,
Over stones and sticks it moves,
Bubbling and giggling with fun.

Laughing now it pushes on,
Eternal in its way,
Lifetimes come and go,
As does' night and day.

Man may come and man may go,
The river seems to say,
But I'll go on forever,
For I am here to stay.
