The Role Of The Russian Orthodox Church in Russia And The Ukraine War

"You must realise, however, that in the last days
difficult times will come. People will be lovers
of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant,
abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful,
unholy, unfeeling, uncooperative, slanderous,
degenerate, brutal, hateful of what is good,
traitors, reckless, conceited and lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God. They will hold an outward form
of godliness but deny its power. Stay away from such people."
2 Timothy 3: 1-5

The Christian ministers fled Russia,
or had been killed and the
Russian Orthodox Church do prosper
and their view is similar,
to that of the government and Putin
or those that do appose are jailed.
In Russia it is illegal
to share the gospel and to evangelize.

Most of the Russians have only
transferred their communist Soviet mindset
where communism was their religion
to Christianity

The head of the Russian orthodox
church Patriarch Kirill does embrace
Putin and call his role as
"God's miracle" and is a supporter
of the Ukrainian invasion,
he is also opposed to the LGBTQ+
and gay-pride parades and views them
as an abomination:

that Putin is set to free humanity of this,
that Gay Marriage is a Sign of
the Apocalypse and Gay Marriage
is like Nazism,
"gay parades are designed to demonstrate
that sin is one of the variations
of human behaviour."

The patriarch says that Putin
do act for God,
that the Russian soldiers
are in a struggle against sin

"the war has not only political
significance. We are talking
about something different
and much more important than
politics. We are talking about
human salvation, about where
humanity will end up."

[Poet's notes: LGBTQ+ is sexual identification to identities of which hetro-sexual is not a part.]
