The Sagacious Chair Poem by Rahman Henry

The Sagacious Chair

Rating: 4.5

A chair
Sees the occupier dead and it trembles
—This is an inner view

Publicly, The chair is empty
Someone might be seated on
But hidden from the scene

The seat and the seated: not visible together
Only the seated can be seen— manifested
Or the chair

The seated can't see any visitors

The crowd
Watching by turns
Once the crowned one, again the chair

The chair shakes— but the crowned one is unable to see it.trembles
