The Scriptures Cannot Be Broken Poem by Gary James Smith

The Scriptures Cannot Be Broken

The Scriptures Cannot Be Broken

The Scriptures cannot be broken
God engraves a faithful church
By the indwelling of His Holy Spirit
Our witness to the Saviour's worth
Sealed with the stamp of righteousness
Not ours but of our God
The work of the Cross steadfast as ever
Just as sure as is His Word

Men try to change the meaning of
The words that Christ has spoken
But as He is the Word Himself
The scriptures cannot be broken
And yeah and amen still reign supreme
For up from the grave He arose
The Scripture cannot be compromised
It's our victory over our foes

Praise God we cannot save ourselves
But hallelujah we have one who can
Wherever true repentance has begun
God can save the vilest of men
And great is our Lord's faithfulness
Praise God for every word spoken
Hallelujah I say for the Cross of Christ
The Scritures cannot be broken

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
