The Secret Poem by Alyssa Lynn

The Secret

So what if I told you, that you were my muse for your favorite poems, that you were my “overexposure” to everything I don’t know if I’m able to grasp? So what if I told you the girl, gave up on the game of “tug a war”, and said “I give in let the rush come.” What if she jumped head first into the icy water? What if the truth is I told you “we”, could burn this place down. What if you’re my safe haven, to avoid taking that impulse? What if with you, I don’t feel the sensation of feeling “non existence”. I’m about to do it again, in 5…4….3…2…1. And just like that I’ll let life get in the way all over again. Yet, it’s nothing a kiss couldn’t solve. So how about you send me a message without a bottle, maybe give me some calligraphy? I say we look up in the stars and see if we can read our destiny, then again you did buy me the moon right? We could always just go up there for a picnic, but that would require me accepting such a romantic, kind gesture.
