The Secrets That We Kept

Beneath the moon's soft, silver veil,
We spoke in whispers in the night,
A thread of silence, frail and light,
Yet bound by promises both held tight.

The garden bloomed where none could see,
In shadows deep, our hearts would beat,
A world unspoken, wild and free,
Where time's cold hand could never be.

But secrets, like the autumn leaves,
Will flutter, caught by wind and breeze,
And though we cling, the heart deceives,
As petals fall from all we've sown—
The silence speaks, though we are gone.
