The Silent Siren Poem by Nell Sheridan

The Silent Siren

Rating: 4.0

The Silent Siren

Shadows fail to reach this bitter aspect of antique sands,
Finely sifted with aged loving carelayering these lands,
I hear her call as the light caresses the slowly dying trees,
I hear her call quietly herbeautiful words within series,

The landscapesparse complimenting this savage sun,
Untouched and unchallenged an ageless battle overcome,
Her colours completely elude all my powers of description,
She'sthe truest siren existing humanity's own prediction,

You cannot deny her reachingacross a lonely landscape,
This silent siren perhaps oneyou would wish to forsake,
Grasping your heart her memory is hauntingly eternal,
No escaping the siren of dessert sandsher silent appeal,

She will kiss you whilst gently stealing your finalbreath,
She'sbeautiful yet masterfully the heart of a soul thief,
She's the silent siren the sweetest melody in existence,
She captivates with the inescapablemusic ofher silence.
