This Cell
Five foot wide only this room extends,
Six foot long this barren room it ends,
A windowless hell of pure stagnation,
Whist pondering my apt condemnation,
This cell, my cell, the centre of my universe,
This life, my life, no way to seek reverse,
Broken thus tormentedneighbours a plenty,
Failing to observe the rules of humanity,
Shocking crimesdenote the dinner conversation,
Yet inwardly they"re hiding the real lamentation,
This cell, my cell, everyone's so tough,
This life, my life, outwardlyso rough,
The dark shines fear on the hardest criminals,
Sleeping in fits and starts a truth in actuals,
Crying at 3am wishing to just be safely home,
We tire of being isolated and sovery alone,
This cell, my cell a hell I created,
This life, my life, this devil I invited,
Staring down concrete nowhere left to roam,
Needingcompassion from the ever silent phone,
Who will understand I cannot forgive myself,
Who cares for my soulupon Satan's shelf,
Who will free me when Ilocked the chain,
Who if any will stand by me and remain,
Who will holdclose the memory of my person,
Who will love me even with my cold aversion,
This cell, my cell, forces me to contemplate,
This life, my life, my reflection I do debate,
These bars drain the love and care of our society,
I am challenged by the days unending drudgery,
I cannot blame another for my chosen sins,
From this cell no survivor ever really wins,
This cell, my cell, I am dead inmy reality,
This life, my life, I ammy very own fatality.

In prison or in lonely hours one is forced to contemplate, comes face to face with stark ugly realities of life. Very vivid sketch of some one going through soul searching. Congratulations.
