The Simple Theme Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Simple Theme

Humour Intended:

Exaggerated and inflated
The words were too extreme
For a tiny child's nursery rhyme
Which had a simple theme...
Cousin Jane said 'write it again'
And Little Bo-Peep began to weep.
But Mary Mary quite contrary
Loved the words from
The dictionary.
