You may not realise
I have not shared
but deep down
I am like a snow globe!
When you talk to me
When you reach out to me
Outwardly I appear smooth
Cool and calm
like a mirror
projecting a scene of tranquillity
always setting the scene
always making sense of your surroundings
giving a glimpse of bigger pictures
wider fields
But inside I am like a Snow Globe
Ever word you utter
shakes me to the core
my world become a blizzard
a myriad of incandescent snow
thoughts that flurry
that settle uncomfortably
atop of one another
jumbled
You cannot reach inside
I cannot touch you whilst I am there
I can only project the image
a totally silent reflection
a sense that everything will settle
and the scene will return to its original order
Inside I am screaming
Often I do not see the woman
I only see the child
You are mine and everything that touches you
Everything that hurts you - Shatters my world!

in a previous comment I wrote ''everybody lives in his/her own bubble.. '' - now I read of your 'snow globe' and I find it a perfect metaphor.. Thank you, Alex. Welcome at P.H. and keep on writing cheers Fabrizio

How strong is your love to your daughter! you are stressed because of her? and bcome an avalanche? but if it is out of love- it will bring only care and calmness!

Beautiful depiction of the mighty experience of love, well articulated and insightfully penned in poetic diction with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing.
