The Space Where The Boy Was Poem by Sonny Rainshine

The Space Where The Boy Was

Rating: 5.0

One war ends; another begins;
both armies are sure they’re right;
that’s why they fight.

I knew a boy,
he used to make me laugh.
He used to play with his toy trucks
on the sidewalk,
under the elm tree.
Where has he gone?

One war ends; another begins;
both armies are sure they’re right;
that’s why they fight.

I know where three of ours have gone recently Sonny! they make 100 in Afganistan. It is a crime and a crying shame on those in power. These young lads were described in the media as being highly professional. They got blown up for the love of Oil! A peace searching poem, good to read. Smiling at you, Tai

A lovely, short poem but with massive impact... it tears the heart in two...
