The Spirit of God Infuses

The Spirit of God infuses our hearts into joyful song
When we believe in Jesus Christ the Lord
Forgiveness strikes a musical cord and cannot help but sing
It's a blessing bestowed upon those trusting in His Word
And fragrant are those hymns of praise that the Spirit generates
The song of the soul set free has melodious tones
And happy are those redeemed by that blessed Lamb
What treasure it is to own Him as our own

Hallelujah strikes a familiar chord that each believer sings
We cannot help but give forth praise each day
A soul cleansed  and washed by that  precious blood
God gives us songs in the night as well as in the day
I love you written in red permeates the believers mind
He's in our thoughts as for our sin He's atoned
Great is that great faithfulness of our loving Father
And ever faithful Friend Lord Jesus who leads us gently home

Has your heart been so inclined to give forth songs of praise
Or is it still locked and  shackled because of sin
Friend repentance is the way to find relief that's sure
The way of the cross is to have saving faith  in Him
Hallelujah for the cross God's Masterpiece revealed
God Himself as Jesus God the Son
Let your heart receive His grace come by faith today
For in every heart that has thus far a new song has begun!
