The Stealing Of It To Claim As 'Their' Property Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

The Stealing Of It To Claim As 'Their' Property

There are many things I show,
Handed to me by my ancestors.
And what has been given to me,
Is in my DNA.
Where it will stay!
Although the preciousness of it,
May be tampered with one day.
But...
The stealing of it to claim as 'their' property,
Will not happen in my generation.
No matter how advanced the technology.
Or the sophistication of the thieves,
To create what they percieve will be human.
