The Stranger's Lament Poem by Amanda Miller

The Stranger's Lament

Rating: 4.8

He saw your reflection
In the window as you passed.
He saw a smile,
But knew it was masked.

He followed you out.
But kept a safe distance.
He wanted to talk.
But not in this instance.

As he watched from behind.
And fell in love with your grace.
This must be destiny,
The right time and right place.

He blinked, for a second too long.
He knew not where you went.
Being afraid,
Was this stranger’s lament.

they say don't talk to stranger.......but getting admiration from a total stranger is something to lament with............good job amanda.

I enjoy the rhyme scheme and the emotions expressed. I have felt this way many times before. I love it. Much Clown Love Michael
