The Sun Poem by Michael J ORourke2

The Sun

The sun cut a clear swath across the lake
A shining imperious unreachable wake
Above spread a creamy twilight sky- with the moon beyond
While whiskey colored leaves fringed the Autumn pond
As if to invite one to a forbidden path
And walk the water of God's wrath.

A very good poem with vivid imagery.
