The Sun And The Lotus Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

The Sun And The Lotus

Rating: 5.0

She stood grief-struck and pensive
For she was low born in murky mud
Humble prayers with deep devotion
Gifted her a splendid aura of beauty.

Valour of the brave celestial prince
Who fights and drives off darkness
Riding the gleaming golden chariot
Filled in her the nectar of deep love

Amid hard struggles to regain light
His royal glance falls on the marvel
A spark of love passes through her
Blooming the everlasting epic love

The story of the lotus moves us to become resilient, pure and divine. And that we can have light and beauty out of the dark and empty space. Well written poem.
