Love Has No Death
While we shared on the beach moments
Facing the setting sun and the glooming waves
I noticed, amidst the last glow of the setting sun,
Dreams gleaming in your deep blue eyes.
Enhancing the charm of your beauty
Colour beams flashed on to your cheeks
Rising from the depths of your heart
Rather than from the saffron dusk-clouds
I grew jealous of the gale that caressed you
Pulling down to your cheeks curly locks.
The rising and falling waves turned golden
In the light beams of the bright moon soon
And their sparkles flashed on to you
Turning you to a golden idol beside me.
We merged our souls to a single existence
Like the sky and the sea make a single horizon
Where the sea reflects the beauty of the sky
And the sky the magnificence of the sea
A long time we spent there lost in the bliss
Never perceiving the claim of Tsunami on you
Days yield to dusks and nights to dawns
My strife reclaiming you is still going on
Our love is being carried to you and to me
Everlastingly by the waves in ebb and flow
Such an everlasting love...surpassing the death of your soul mate! This is a poem for the ages! Heartiest of Congrats on POD, Poet Nair!
