The Suns Shadow. Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Like the Sun to my Moon,
you'll always be there.
The world would be out of balance without you.
I would be out of balance.
You shine brightly,
you and I are opposites,
but not completley different.
We need eachother,
to co-exhist.
You have drifted in and out of my life,
as silently as I have through yours.
You passed me by,
until we reached the point in life,
when we needed eachother most.
You saved me,
as I tried to save you.
We grew closer,
and though so much has ripped us apart,
we've healed even stronger.
Tangled in this web,
you and I hang from the same strand.
Through long nights,
and many pills,
you've never left my side.
Never flinched,
never turned your back.
As I will never turn mine.
So won't you hear me when I tell you,
you need not be concious around me anymore.
I'd love you just the same.
