The Tender Coconut Water Poem by Prem Nizar Hameed

The Tender Coconut Water

Rating: 5.0

A small coconut is covered with outer husk
Just remove it slowly and carefully to see
The hard part of brown husk as the second layer,
When the second layer is broken with much care,
The soft fleshy part is visible, and inside
The part is filled with tender coconut water

(Composed with 12-syllable lines)

Once I served a glass of tender coconut water to my foreign friend while I was working at a company in a foreign country. After having relished the drink, he asked me about its preparation. I remember him now to have been inspired for the poem.
