The Things You'Ve Never Heard Poem by ally jones

The Things You'Ve Never Heard

I see you've moved on.
You stole yourself away.
You found a brand new love,
and there's nothing I can say.

I encouraged it of course,
because I thought of you.
I couldn't tell the truth,
there was nothing I could do.

I want you to be happy.
Even if it brings me tears.
I knew that this would happen,
you brought alive my fears.

You're not the man for me.
You said it just one time.
I closed my eyes and smiled.
I pretended that was fine.

I guess i'm not your girl,
with her you'll be complete.
I wish I could object,
but I just cannot compete.

I wish I could just speak,
the things you never knew.
I wish I could just say;
how much I love you.

But I watch you walk away.
I cannot say those words.
I want you to find love,
and so i'll stay un-heard.
