The Thirsty Sun
When the sun feels thirsty,
How does it quench that thirst?
The sun is a blazing sphere of heat;
How could it shed tears of water?
Who could extinguish the sun's fire?
For if the solar fire were to die out,
The world would be plunged into darkness;
How then would the wheel of life turn?
The world would become desolate and void.
Even the sun feels thirst;
It exists not apart from creation.
Oh Creator, how have You fashioned this—
That some should live, while others die?
