Oh, how I love the thought of you
The things you did, the things you knew
And how my heart does sing with praise
As I recall those magic days
Those magic days when first we met
Such days I never shall forget
When love was young, and we were too -
The sun rose high, the sky turned blue
The sky turned blue, the stars shone bright
Each day was warm, and warm each night -
The days and nights became as one
As did all time beneath the sun
Beneath the sun our love was born
Then nurtured by the golden dawn
And oh how sweet that magic world
Wherein true love became unfurled
True love became unfurled, so sweet
Like nectar in the summer's heat
But oh too soon the years have flown
With you now gone and I, alone
And I, alone, am left to weep
To steal each day and steal my sleep -
Remembering the days we knew,
Oh, how I love the thought of you
