The Three Prophets - Part I Poem by Richard Wlodarski

The Three Prophets - Part I

Prophet sitting on mountaintop
Enveloped in meditation
With eyes open sees God's splendour
Silently prays for Mother Earth

Second prophet in his office
Power napping for lack of sleep
Eyes open now smells the roses
Silently prays for raise in pay

Third prophet in his penthouse
Pacing the faux marble floors
Glaring at concrete jungle
Yelling for secretary
