The Touch Of Your Hand Poem by Valerie Dohren

The Touch Of Your Hand

Rating: 5.0

The touch of your hand
The fall of your hair
The lilt in your voice
Which told me you care

The tilt of your head
The curl of your smile
The light in your eyes
To sweetly beguile

The beat of your pulse
The taste of your lips
The feel of your breath
Your soft fingertips

The spring in your step
The flash in your glance
The warmth of your kiss
My heart to entrance

The songs that you sang
The poems you read
Were joy to my ears
Your voice in my head

The lump in my throat
The words I can't say
The shake of my legs
When you went away

The ache in my heart
The tears that I cried
The salt in my eyes
The day that you died

The sad empty chair
Your clothes now unworn
The days are too long
The fabric is torn

The pain of the void
The sight of your rings
The hurt in my soul
The end of all things.
