The Tower Of Babel Poem by Gert Strydom

The Tower Of Babel

When man build his ziggurat,
did build a tower so high
that he wanted to reach
the Lord God,

man was already twisted,
did regard himself as equal to God
and when God commenced with the different languages
and man was in chaos

while thunder from the blue sky
did leaking rush to below
and the massive monster
of tar and rock

did burn like a gigantic flaming torch,
man was well aware about the omnipotence of God.
