'The Truth' Poem by Linda Winchell

'The Truth'

Rating: 5.0

Do you really want me to tell you the truth?
Or would you prefer, that I lie?
If when you ask me my opinion on things
and don't like the answers
then why ask me, why?

I'm not one to pull out any punches!
I will tell you, like it is.
I'll take constructive criticism as well
because it is, what it really is!

'The truth will set you free! '
I've heard this said before.
And it reaps a harvest of benifits
it brings in bushel's, its truths rewards.

Like truer friends and family life
an environment that will be true!
And most of all, that feeling of good inside
that you are building, in truth for you!
