~the Unrequited Guest~ Poem by E Nigma

~the Unrequited Guest~

Within the pages in these files
Crammed into cabinets closed
And locked inside the vaults
Of my minds eye, I see...

Words once spoken, but never heard
Unspoken yet understood
The commotion provoked
An emotion that echoed

Oscilating between severed nerves
A painful provocation
Escalated an immediate action
Remedied by the possible interaction

Between a gift and a curse
The curse curing nurse served
A dish of the finest fish
Captured in the deepest sea during a storm surge

I was told it fought like a memory
Trying to escape a magic lamp undisturbed
Rubbing from the inside out into
A situation undeserved

Sweating bullets by guns never triggered
I ran to the edge of earth and dug
Through layers unearthed, I'm white as a ghost
As I approached china's time zone unreserved
