The Vengeance (Death) Poem by Adams King

The Vengeance (Death)

Rating: 4.3

Here I sit
In this round globe we call a world
Staring at my smooth skin
At the thought of its deadlock

For soon a skin so soft and fresh
Would become a stinky rotten flesh
For scavengers and predators to feed
Making the evil creature take lead

For so long she is at war with the world and every living soul on it
For long have I battled with the sickness in me
Knowing one day my soul she will steal

In the birth of life you were angered
For you wish to be the only existence in the universe
Since thy youth you've bathed with vows
To capture and destroy every existing life

For you've waited for this since my birth
And my flesh you've longed to thirst
For in the evolution of age lies your wrath
Then you watch my innocent skin crawl to rot

For I know not the satisfaction of her deeds
Why she has taken everything from me
Leaving me in this lonely cage
Which she call a better resting place

Why not make peace
Instead you lock the keys to the world's grin
To see me lie in grief
Such is your glory you thief!

But I blame not thee for thy deeds
For life your enemy seems attractive
So you slew for thy thirst to make a travesty
For the blood of humans keep thy beauty

Waste no sympathy you men
For the ones you've lost to the Angel of death
Only when doubt melt thy heart
Then the slayer position herself to strike

Hence be brave and strong in all views
For pity beats only within the souls of fools
For this piece of advice I give with gains
Before there's no legacy left in my veins

To lie never to rise again
This has been a curse to remain
Now I've been taken away to decay
Adieu! I say with no delay
