The Voyage - Poem by Chandan Dey

in the beach
when i sit alone,
the bluish infinity of the ocean
always becomes
a wonder to me

it appears to be a heaven,
as the loving white Gull
flies fast towards me

in the mysterious twilight
i see a boat-

now i have to go
to an endless voyage...

Poet's Notes about The Poem

In one sense Death may also be a love like Birth especially when you think of Life in terms of Great Time. If one is entry another exit - both are needed to improve and rectify our work and to continue the eternal existence of Great Life.

I feel this is a very special poem. The sentiment created around the endless voyage and the images used make it almost surreal. I love it very much. Poetry at its very best! (Report)Reply
