My Friend And I - Poem by Chandan Dey

(I)

You're like sweet soft breeze of evening summer
always making a kiss on me, but in no way can i
make the same on you.

(II)

You're like a co-passenger whom i can't see
but who sits beside and takes me to the next stoppage
timely and safely.

(III)

The uncanny fragrance edifies me:
it's always fair-one can touch
the petals, not their colors.

Friendship occurs automatically in a journey. In the bus or train or on the way we often have new friends who give us pleasure and help. You have so touchingly inscribed this poem on love and friendship. Excellent.10 (Report)Reply

Even a friend whom we can't touch, speak sitting in front can inspire us, friendship is such a loving concept! Thank you very much for your inspiring comment, dear poet Kumarmani.

Summer breeze, companion in train and fragrance are nice friends to accompany one in need! (Report)Reply

Dear poet thank you very much for making this nice comment. All these friends represent a loving invisible intangible Friend. Because of him never become we alone!
