The Waiting Room Poem by Kay Barcelon

The Waiting Room

Rating: 5.0

She has a smile on her face
Is it real or a pretend
My eyes began to gaze
Fear is undeniably apparent

Her fingers are cold as ice
Feebly awaiting her fate
Unbearable thoughts arise
Is it life or is it death

Falling to a subdued dimness
Stillness and angst filled the air
Without a smidgen grace
Her eyes shed a tear

Fear no more my friend
I am here to hold your hand
We’ll walk together to the end
And see that life is grand
