The Way I Walk Poem by Pacific Hernandez

The Way I Walk

I came into this world, to walk I knew not how.
At a young age I learned, with 'four' feet I did crawl.
Within small boundaries, the room and its confines.
Then with two legs I walked, my boundaries enlarged.
Within larger confines, the house and far beyond.
These two legs have brought me into different worlds.
To schools, places of work and back to my abode.
And then my old age came, with 'three' legs now I walk.
Within smaller boundaries, the confines of the room.
Where I wait for the time I'll use my legs no more.
