I discovered a new world
In the way that she kisses.
I am unsure of the history
Of this land or if I can find
my way back.
She grabbed me by the
heart & we both ran quickly.
We ran as far as the eye could see.
I checked my pockets for quixotic
expenditures.
Lavish things to see while we're away.
No longer breathing
through my nose
but fighting her lips for air,
A fight I didn't mind losing.
Being lost in a place as
beautiful as this.
My hands finding their way
Around her hips,
Lost in the waist of her jeggings;
an adventure of
their own as the sun melts
over our head.
I discovered a new world
In the way that she kisses.
A moment of solitude & her,
A place I hope to never return from
My tongue the pen to mark
This day on the history her lips
& heart.
Regardless of historic landmarks
I'll always find my way back
