The Weighty Selves Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Weighty Selves

The Weighty Selves

These are dubious times
What the other man can do,
or the other men can perceived
as their weighty selves,

As the spools of life begins to unravel,
No string can hold the attached climber
going up,
Nor keep the descent from coming down,

Those are the unexpected choices
as necessary,

You are arrayed in the marketplaces,
arrayed for the lovers,

How lucky
the girl you've found,
resembles your taste, your home
and your mother's place,

How uneasy
the feelings of guilt,

Substandard love means
Unequal treatments than the
demeaning person himself,

That weighing instrument in our head,
Which says pleasures
is fully accepted,

the naked illusion
of our worthy selves,

the quality of the dislike,
Someonewho are cheaters,
in the marketplace for your desire,

It was a romantic versions of the concept
Thenoisy land and enterprising suitors,

For a piece of skinoff charts,
the spirals ofwants
in the stock's expense,

The traversing markets
of all the redeeming acts,
that was you,

For your other twin in the contemporary
affection market,

The less was given bythe other vendee,
To the unworthy lack of self esteem,
weighty in reverse,
