The Wheelbarrow Moves On...... Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

The Wheelbarrow Moves On......

Rating: 5.0

The wheelbarrow greets me
during my morning walk
as the sweeper pulls on with both his hands
people throw garbages
the wheelbarrow moves on....
the wheel rolls on...
everyday I observe this
I contemplate:
Am I not pulling
the invisible wheelbarrow?
when people throw
sorrows and anger
pride and prejudice
jealousy and hatred...
but the wheelbarrow moves on...
as problems crop up in life
sorrows inevitable
consolations get scarce
I have to pull the wheelbarrow with love
the wheel has to move on
as time waits for none
and life has to go on.
